Augusta Matters

On Thursday’s City Council agenda there is an order to appropriate $10,000 from the Downtown Tax Increment Financing Fund to support a proposed downtown forgivable loan program. The initiative was created by the Augusta Downtown Alliance.

I had an opportunity to join the subcommittee that worked on this proposal for a meeting and I was very impressed with the level of commitment, attention to detail, and passion for our downtown region. Augusta is fortunate to have this group of dedicated residents.
