Augusta Matters

The city’s Child Hunger Working Group recently held its first meeting. The city council created the committee this year and the goal is to continue to raise awareness of child hunger programs and needs in our community. At the meeting it was mentioned that the weekend backpack program has a shortage of reusable bags. The bags are used each week to provide food for students who may need it over the weekend.
