Be sure to fill your hunger at these local food establishments!

Augusta’s Historic Riverfront. Not only are these establishments owned and operated by dedicated and passionate community business leaders, but each location offers great food and a unique atmosphere found only in Augusta’s historic riverfront:

Riverfront Barbeque and Grille/Gin Mill. Amazing food and great atmosphere. The Gin Mill is one of Augusta’s most popular bars.

Downtown Diner. Located in an old shoe store, this diner is the perfect place for a great breakfast.

Cushnoc Brewing Co. “Born on the Kennebec,” named as a tribute to Augusta’s history. Their goal is to maintain a welcoming environment to enjoy world class beer and pizza.

Circa 1885. Be sure to check out this intimate and inviting bar featuring light bites, wine, classic cocktails and great beers from around the world. 

Black and Tan Pub. Great place to grab a drink and good food with your friends.

Otto’s on the River. Enjoy specialty cuisine with an amazing view of the Kennebec River from their dining room and outdoor patio.

Lisa’s Legit Burritos. Always enjoy a burrio, taco or other Mexican food at this fun cafe.

Huiskamer Coffee House. A Dutch inspired Coffee House, Huiskamer translates to living room. With their comfortable seating and fireplace you’ll be sure to enjoy your coffee.

Eating on the Eastside. While limited in the amount of restaurants on the eastside of the Kennebec River, here you will find three of the Augusta’s longest running establishments in the area.

The Red Barn. Home of award-winning seafood chowder, as well as, a great place for chicken and seafood baskets and packed-full lobster rolls. The Red Barn is also a superior supporter of the community.

Whipper’s. My personal favorite for pepperoni pizza in Augusta. They also offer a variety of sandwiches made on homemade sub rolls. The loaded steak and cheese is certain to impress.

Rebecca’s Restaurant. If you are looking for a quality home-cooked meal, come here and enjoy the many options of comfort food. They also offer a yummy breakfast buffett.

Lisa’s Restaurant. Another popular eastside location with meals from breakfast to dinner and nightlife.

Antigoni’s Pizzeria. Awesome authentic pizza, salads and pasta.

Additional take-out and restaurants include: McDonald’s, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, Dairy Queen, and two favorite chinese restaurants – Canton Express and Eastern Delight.
