As Ward 2 Councilor, there is a matter that has been a concern to many fellow residents – the proposed rezoning of property in the Fairview/Davenport neighborhood.
Originally, Dunkin Donuts sought approval from the Planning Board for rezoning a residential property to commercial. The Planning Board unanimously voted against that proposal. Now, consultants for the company would like to speak to the City Council about the rezoning (sort of like an appeals process). The company has the right to speak to the Council at our Informational Meeting on Thursday, but it will need a Council sponsor to advance the rezoning issue for a full Council vote.
